Job Description
Tasks
- Arrange bar or catering services in accordance with client needs or business policies.
- Chefs, cooks, and support personnel should all be under your supervision to ensure that food safety procedures are followed and an efficient workflow is maintained.
- Choose the variety and calibre of food and drinks that will be served, taking into account the dietary needs, budget, and preferences of the patrons.
- Make sure that food and drink are produced in accordance with recipes and specifications and that they meet quality requirements.
- While staying within your budget, buy or oversee the purchase of items, such as culinary ingredients, kitchenware, and cleaning products.
- Control inventory levels through frequent inventory audits, accurate record-keeping, and prevention of shortages and waste.
- Make plans for account preparation, which should include financial reporting, cost analysis, and budget planning.
